Oh no! It's... happening!

Clever way there of showing that Preston Northwest knows what's going on here. Very nicely done.

"Mystery Solver" Catches Vampire Bat

Here's the thing here. Now that the Blind Eye Society is gone, Toby Determined can freely report the paranormal activity around town. It may also be worth noting that Blubs and Durland were hugging each other in fear, as if they had never seen something like this before. Which, they hadn't.

Theme song

The theme song was shortened for this episode. Alex has confirmed that this was due to time constraints. The full theme song would have made the episode last 23 minutes, and an episode is only supposed to last 22 minutes. But the question remains: why was Gideon Rises allowed to last 24 minutes?

You asked for it, and you got it! An entire 48-hour marathon of Ghost Harassers, on the Used To Be About History Channel!

Hi Pacifica! Excuse us.

This part came the closest in the entire episode to answering my question: does Pacifica remember the golf war? We know that that episode was a brush she had with the paranormal, AND that her memory tube was seen in Society of the Blind Eye. I've come to the conclusion that there is no way Pacifica could have forgotten about it. The Golf War softened her up just enough for Northwest Mansion Mystery to happen.

problem room

First of all, Alex clearly won the battle with Disney's censors again. Blood is something you don't often see from Disney. Second, now we see that Dipper is an old pro at this monster hunting thing.

Mayor Befufftlefumpter

This is the first of many references in this episode to Dipper and Mabel's Guide to Mystery and Nonstop Fun! (abbreviated DMGMNF) "The mayor of Gravity Falls is not long for this world" is a cryptogram in that book.

Secret room

When Dipper and Pacifica go to the secret room the first time, if you pause the video when the ghost says "Your fate is SEALED!!!" you can faintly see a painting with a llama. Some of our theories say that Pacifica is the llama on Bill Cipher's wheel. I for one noticed that the ghost, who is also in the room, is a lumberjack. I say this is evidence towards the llama being Manly Dan.

Can I pay you to pretend that never happened?

Let me explain my feelings on this. On a scale from 0 to 10, with 0 being a Dipacifica hater and 10 being a shipper, I fall at number 5. Completely neutral. As long as the relationship is done well, and the person is an unrelated female, I could care less who Dipper is paired with. But only a little bit less.
