Carla, I've always loved you but I've never had the guts to say it.

This is at the end of the disclaimer in Gideon's commercial. We later find out it was said by Bud Gleeful. Carla is also referred to in the cryptogram. It's possible that Carla is Carla "Hotpants" McCorkle, and if so, it's also possible that she is Mrs. Gleeful and Bud Gleeful is Thistle Downe (the guy who stole Carla from Stan in his flashback.)

Are you sniffing my hair?

I can buy and sell you, old man!

Gideon seems to have complete control over his father. It's unknown how he could buy or sell Bud. It's possible that he was referring to his show, in which if he failed, the entire family would go down. It's also possible he was referring to the book. If so, it's logical that Bud knows about the book. He possibly passed it down to his son, before knowing what Gideon would do with it. This is further backed up if one accepts the theory that Bud is Thistle Downe and Mrs. Gleeful is Carla "Hotpants" McCorkle.

jail in Columbia

Stan has been to jail/prison at least three times: the county jail (for making counterfeit money), pool jail (for roughhousing), and a Columbian prison (for reasons unknown). I think his prison record will be explored more in season 2, and we may see some more instances of Stan's confinement.

arm punching

When Wendy is playfully showing affection, she lightly punches the other person's arm. She is most often seen doing this to Dipper, and she is rarely shown doing so to Robbie. It's likely she got this, as well as her tomboyish nature, from her father, Manly Dan.

You've broken up with guys, right?

Wendy, it is revealed, has broken up with a LOT of guys: so many, in fact, that sometimes she apparently forgets to break up with them. This could explain why her breakup with Robbie was so quick: because Wendy considered him to be just another guy. I love and hate at the same time how Alex Hirsch left us hanging in that relationship. First he put a 2 1/2 month hiatus after the episode in which they broke up, then he barely put Wendy in the show at all for the final 3 episodes. This must be a setup for something HUGE.

...that guy with the tattoos...

When Wendy is listing off the names of guys she has broken up with, she mentions "that guy with the tattoos." In Grunkle Stan's interview with the Gossiper podcast, he mentions that he once had an employee with a large amount of snake tattoos, and he doesn't know what happened to him. I think this is the same guy. If so, then is it possible that he is the missing link between Wendy and the Mystery Shack?

Carla, why won't you call me?
