Manotaurs-using manliness as a way to push each other around.
This is how you can tell that the manotaurs are not real men. A real man would not feel the need to prove his manliness. Therefore in this episode, Dipper becomes a real man, while the manotaurs remain fake men. It also shows that their fake manliness is their most prized possession, and they will go to great lengths to protect it.
