I have a joke theory that Jenkins is a descendant of the Redundant Scribe of Redundant-ness, who named The Uncrossable River of Uncrossableness and The Stupid Mountain of Stupidness, before re-naming the latter The Unclimbable Mountain of Unclimbableness. I'm pretty sure Soos knows who used to occupy this room. It seems to support the theory that Stanley was kidnapped by Bill, and that Soos is acting stupid to protect Dipper and Mabel from the anomalies of Gravity Falls.
