You call that Ben Franklin? He looks like a woman. / Whoa, man. Ben Franklin secretly was a woman!

Stan criticized Mabel's work because Ben Franklin looked like a woman, but as found out later, he was a woman.

The guys at the lodge won't go with me. They don't "like" or "trust" me.

Who are "the guys at the lodge"? And why don't they "'like' or 'trust'" Stan? Are they the other members of the Royal Order of the Holy Mackerel? That's a secret society in Gravity Falls, to which at least one person in the Mystery Shack belongs. (Secret message: check out the Royal Order's YouTube page, as well as that of Joe4. Subscribe to both.)

What happened to the photo contest?

The photo contest seems to come into play only in this episode. It's possible the contest ended, but the magazine showed a picture of "last month's winner", showing that it's a recurring contest. Dipper and Mabel could easily win it in any episode if they have a camera.

I don't know what I expected that to taste like.

Guess I gotta wear this ankle bracelet now, so that'll be fun.

Stan is forced by the police to wear a tracking collar on his ankle. He is not seen with it for the rest of the episode or the rest of the season. Why not? Did he tinker around so it would come off? Did he learn the skills from his brother?

What was that? - Mmmmm?

It's shown that the Gobblewonker really DOES exist. It could be significant, but I think it was just to make a point to the audience that anomalies are real in Gravity Falls, since this was (little known fact) the first episode produced and the second shown.
