These are the headlines of the newspaper Stan was apparently pretending to read. Some people think this and other references to UFO's signify that we will see aliens next season.

Durland doesn't seem to be very smart. So when he is copying Blubs, it's no surprise because he apparently thinks Blubs is smart. Although, as a viewer, I really think it's the blind leading the blind here.
