Slow News Day
Hmmmm... it was a slow news day? Maybe because the reporter was busy erasing McGucket's memory and didn't have time to come up with a good story?
Soos' license plate
It says "FIXINIT1". The wiki says it's a reference to Fixin' It With Soos. But I say it's somehow connected to the password on his computer, which is also FIXINIT1. Noticeably, it has 8 characters. That's the same number of characters for the laptop's password. Other than the laptop or Soos' own computer, there really are no good explanations for what this password could stand for. One more thought: Soos and Stan's license plates both have 8 characters, but in Oregon the maximum legal limit is 6.
Uh! Soos!
At this point, Wendy takes the CD from Straight Blanchin' and throws it out the window. If you pause at the right split second, just as Wendy throws the CD out the window, you can spot Agents Powers and Trigger in the background. I thought they would be an Easter Egg for the rest of the season. They are seen in season 2 episodes 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9. They are obviously seen later in the series.

He'll pull your heart strings!
I feel like all these eyeballs are a-watchin' me.
Notice: the eye that all the other eyes are looking at looks a lot like the all-seeing eye or the Eye of Providence, and who do we know who is based on that? Yroo! Xrksvi! Girsmtov!
Coyotes are coming for our sweetbreads
McGucket's first hambone message. His second was "Oh, *****!" Again, well done, Alex. The Disney censors are no match for Alex Hirsch and his team. His final message, near the end of the episode, said "Thanks for opening my eyes."
Blindeye society chanting
The society chants "Annuit coeptis, novus ordo seclorum." These words are seen on the back of every $1 bill. In Latin, it means that a higher power (God) approves of the New World Order (in the dollar's case, the USA.) There are several other references to the Seal of the United States throughout this episode.
(Lazy) Susan Wentworth
Lazy Susan's full name
Probably just the janitor kissing that wax settler woman again.
Here, if you look at the spine of the triceratops, you can see the key word for the Vigenere cipher: ERASE. Oddly enough, it isn't there when we see the same triceratops a few seconds earlier.
There it is! Hurry!
No. There is no way they would've gotten that far ahead of the hat.
Hi! I'm Mabel! I'm 12 and own a pig! Wanna get married?
Four things. First, as a guy, I actually prefer her opener in Sock Opera: "Hey! Guess who's Mabel? I am! Care to learn more?" Second, I have read on the wiki that on the wall behind Wendy and Mabel in this scene there is a visual representation of the Pythagorean Theorem. Third, there's another reference to the seal of the United States here. The all-seeing eye on top of the seal represents God watching and giving his knowledge to mankind. But on the wall behind Mabel and Wendy, they have the pyramid with the all-seeing eye facing up... keeping that knowledge from mankind. Exactly what the society wants to do! It may also show that they have (or had) a conflict with Bill. Finally, I absolutely love how the characters in Gravity Falls are able to have normal conversations. One of the hardest things about writing dialogue is making it sound natural, and Alex does a great job at that.
